This policy explains what information Geving Studios collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to be dense.
What We Collect
The only information this site actively collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project. We ask for this so we can reply to you and evaluate potential projects (our “legitimate interest” and steps toward entering a contract).
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell your data, and we do not build tracking profiles on visitors.
Information Collected Automatically
- Google Fonts: This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google receives your IP address and basic request header information.
- Server Logs: Our web host and network provider record standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, browser types, and requested pages. These are used strictly for security, performance, and keeping the site running smoothly.
Cookies and Browser Storage
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a single flag in your browser’s session storage to skip the intro animation if you have already visited the site during your session. This is cleared when you close your browser tab and is not tied to your personal identity. That is why you will not see an annoying cookie banner here.
How We Use What You Send
Contact form submissions are used to respond to your inquiry and, if we end up working together, to carry out the project scope. We keep past correspondence as a standard business record. We will never add you to a marketing email list without your explicit consent.
Who Else Sees It & Data Transfers
We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to run this site and conduct business:
- Formspree: Contact form submissions are handled by Formspree, which processes and routes your message directly to our inbox.
- Cloudflare Pages: Our site is hosted and secured by Cloudflare, which maintains network logs for security and performance.
- Core Business Tools: We use standard business software (such as secure email and cloud storage) to store correspondence and client records.
These services process data on our behalf and according to their own privacy practices. Because we and our service providers operate primarily in the United States, information submitted to this site may be transferred to and stored on servers in the U.S.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard the personal information submitted to us against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is ever 100% secure, so please refrain from sending sensitive private data (like credit card details or passwords) through our standard contact form.
How Long We Keep It
Inquiry messages are kept as long as necessary to fulfill your request and maintain reasonable business records. Project records for active or past clients are kept for as long as we have a working relationship, and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.
If you sent an inquiry and would like us to delete it, simply ask and we will erase it.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email nathan@gevingstudios.com and we will promptly take care of it.
Children’s Privacy
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
